ABSTRACT

Discusses conditions necessary for wood to decay: the four conditions: oxygen, temperatures between 32-90 degrees F, moisture in excess of fiber saturation and energy and nutrients. Without all four conditions present, decay will not happen. Each condition plays a specific role in the decomposition of wood.
