ELF Series and 'T' Probes for Small Duct and VAV Terminal Box Applications
Ebtron developed the thermal dispersion ELF product family and the `T' probe products specifically for challenging terminal box and small duct applications. Ebtron thermal dispersion technology provides a significant advancement over conventional differential pressure based flow rings that are typically installed in these applications. Smaller ducts, with a large duct wall-surface to free-area ratio, cause higher than actual flow readings when traditional multi-point traverse techniques are used.
Ebtron ELF and `T' probes are physically smaller to their `P' probe counterparts and feature a proprietary flow loss compensation design. ELF products and `T' probes are computer calibrated between 0 and 3,000 fpm (0 and 15.2 m/s) in individual wind tunnels to volumetric airflow standards. As a result, performance on smaller ducts is greatly improved by compensating for flow losses near the duct wall. Ebtron thermistors used at each sensing point location provide accuracy in "percent of reading" (not "percent of full scale") throughout the entire calibrated range.
Ebtron `T' probes are calibrated for single, one or two sensor probe applications (regardless of the input maximum of the transmitter) and with the Silver or Hybrid transmitter, are ideal for those applications requiring more robust electronics and features.

The economical ELF product is a complete self-contained probe/transmitter device that is very simple to install and operate and is available with analog, RS-485 network or Staefa equivalent output.
