-B Bleed airflow sensors are very unique and affordable.

The device is essentially an EBTRON thermal dispersion airflow sensor in a ½” diameter tube and is available in the Gold, Hybrid and Silver Series. Gold Series transmitters can average up to four individual bleed sensors.

Its unique design results in bidirectional thermal airflow measurement that can easily be converted to a differential pressure equivalent. As a result, pressure differences less than 0.0001 in.w.g. can be detected.

The bleed sensor can be used for a host of applications, several of which are depicted below.

Use to monitor pressure differentials by determining the pressurization flow between spaces or across the building envelope.

EBTRON optional Through-Wall kit shown. Protect from rain or snow by providing a rain hood or louver (by others) on exposed outdoor walls.

Assure proper airflow direction across relief dampers (supply/return fan system) or recirculation dampers (supply/exhaust fan systems).

Sensors can also be used to determine airflow across many intake louver configurations (consult EBTRON for flow rate requirements).

Use bleed airflow to maintain stable pressurization with under floor systems.
