Individual Silver Series sensors measure airflow as accurate as the Gold Series. The same sensors are used in the Gold and Silver Series. The major difference is that -P sensor probes using a Silver Series transmitter cannot process as many sensing points (4 instead of 16). As a result, the actual installed accuracy can be decreased, especially with larger duct sizes.
With the exception of the -P probes, the primary difference between the two series (Gold and Silver) is transmitter features. All settings on the Silver Series are accomplished using DIP switches since an LCD display is not available.
Silver Series transmitters can host several specialty sensors (-U and -T) that are unavailable in the Gold Series.
